Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant crowned LeAngela Davis as the current Miss Hooters 2010. The winner gets to represent Hooters in their magazine and several international ad campaigns and promotions for one year along with the prize money of $50,000. The grand event was held in Fort Lauderdale, FL on July 10th. The several prizes and opportunities have accompanied the winner along with wonderful additions that would be coming along the way. LaAngela got chosen from the 100 Hooters Girls who participated from across the globe. They traveled from all over the world that included 455 locations from 29 countries. There were evening gown rounds to swimsuit rounds, all of which got consulted through by the esteemed panel of judges.
The body of judges included Chelsea Lately’s Chuy Bravo, E Entertainemnt’s host Michael Yo, musician Ryan Cabrera, former member of the Pussycat Dolls, Ashley Roberts, reality TV show Survivors participant and ex Miss Hooter girl, Jerri Manthey and several others. The show got hosted by Dan Cortese and Carrie Keagan. LaAngela got selected according to the well rounded personality and gorgeous looks that she possesses. Her ability to make wonderful contacts along with her gregarious nature made her the right choice for being a Miss Hooter.
Through beauty and personality she astounded the judges and became the top choice for this glamorous award. According to the Pageant Director, Beth Taylor, declared that she became the top choice with her overall presence, persona as well as beauty. There were other top 4 finalists who won cash prizes. They were Rachel Mortensen from Phoenix, AZ, Ashley Dunn fro Newnan, GA, Susan Murray from Katy, Texas and Janet Layug from Lakeland, FL. Their cash prizes ranged from $15,000 to $7,000 according to their positions. The other finalists in the top ten included Elizabeth Johnston, Tia Jackson, Lindsey Way, Theresa Trujillo and Chelsie Hurst.
They all received $2,000 each. Miss Photogenic was awarded to Sam Arena from Cumberland, GA. She received a professional photo shoot of $5,000 value. Miss Congeniality was awarded to Jamaica Nicolson from South Africa who won $2,500 and the Hooters World award was given to Naty Gaviria from Colombia who was awarded $5,000.
